- characters are created in the "Northern Lights" board using the form provided there.
- all characters must be approved before you may post.
- alignments are based on your character's personality ; when accepted, an admin will give you choice(s) for an alignment which you may then pick.
- after characters are accepted, you may join/claim (if unclaimed) a pack or stray as a loner.

- an unclaimed land will have no alpha, so it is then available to anyone.
- upon joining a pack, an alpha must assign roles to the newcomer, posting in the "Book of _____," available in said alpha's pack board.
- you may search for a pack in the "Northern Lights" board where an alpha or beta may claim you.
- loners may stray into packlands, but take caution to hostile packs.
- Packs are classified by "alignment" which is designated by a mod upon creating your character. Classification is based on factors such as personality as well as some element of random choosing.
- The Alpha and Beta are responsible for updating pack details.
- Each pack will have a "Book of {Pack Name}" where alpha/beta update such as: new pack members, demotion/promotion, or any other pack details.
- Wolves are not restricted to RP only in their designated pack. If you belong to different pack, you may RP in another pack's lands - perhaps approach with caution. After all, you may not be accepted by pack members there.

- Alpha: Each pack has one alpha - one leader of the entire pack. The way the alpha chooses to govern is of their own. Duties include:
- recruiting members for the pack (Northern Lights)
- ensuring sustainable pack statistics (food supply, wealth)
- forming alliances, maintaining pack order
- assigning pack members' positions.
*The Alpha may promote or demote pack members at any time. - Beta: Second in command. Betas may recruit members for the pack via Northern Lights.
- Warriors: Noble fighters who ensure the pack's security and are ready for battle, especially if any unrest in the lands occur. Typically, warriors are responsible for bringing back items of value to add to the pack's wealth. Factors such as losing a battle can affect wealth.
- Hunters: A hungry pack is a weak pack - hunters are responsible for keeping the food supply at an adequate level. Food supply depletes on a regular basis.
- Adults: The important majority that makes up the pack, most likely newcomers awaiting a rank promotion.
- Pups: Pups don't have much responsibility unless an apprenticeship is present.
