Brighid's paws travelled lightly over the wet land as she progressed farther into the unknown land. It was a vast and somewhat empty land that needed to gain more wolves. At least she didn't have to worry about dehydration in this part of the land unlike others. Several foresters surrounded the land in very few but dense spots, perfect for prey. Her eyes sparkled happily as she imagined several wolves around the area happily acting like a big family. Her parents from far away always thought she would be a good alpha, she never did but Brighid still wanted to make her parents proud somehow.
Snow white fur was shaken dry as she found a dry spot to stand on to rest for a minute. She had been travelling for several days trying to find a good spot to rest. Though she felt lonely now she knew that soon these lands would become populated once again with happy wolves and pups. Chilled winds ran threw her fur as she shivered with anticipation. Icy blue eyes looked long and hard across the land with only a few signs of animal life, only prey not wolves.
The land seemed so calm and in tune with nature that it seemed almost unnatural to her. In her old land the wolves were all fighting over one piece of food. As much of a disappointment it must have seemed when she left she knew that she could make amends to others by creating a more peaceful pack. The land didn't seem like a place for death but of a place of peace which was what she wanted. She sat on a stump of a fallen tree and wagged her tail happily.
A howl that was loud and haunting came out of her throat for what seemed like minutes but was really only a few seconds. After a long while of travelling around to place to place she finally sought a place that seemed like home to her. Even if she were to someday pass on she would hope this place would stay a place of peace. Of course though if someone threatened that peace she wouldn't mind fighting for the peace to remain here. “This is my home...”
